Interior Architecture Award Submission

Goal: A new headquarters that reflects the venture capital firmís preeminent status and supports its collegial culture.

Images 1-3: Reception
The two-story reception creates a stately first impression to the penthouse offices in Chicago's newest Class A building.

Image 4: Secondary Stair
A secondary stair connects all floors, encouraging staff interaction. A palette of warm woods, supple leathers, and luxurious fabrics combines with minimalist detailing to create an opulent and uncluttered environment.

Image 5: Corridor
Perimeter and internal offices are architecturally united through ceiling and wall banding. Administrative stations Ė critical communication conduits Ė are centered in the corridors.

Image 6: Offices
Full-height glass walls foster open communication, a hallmark of the firmís business and culture, and allows natural light into the space. Ten-foot ceilings are tempered by earth tones, olivewood veneers, and workwall systems that are proportional to the space yet mindful of comfort.

Result: An office that evokes restrained, modern grandeur and reflects the firmís commitment to excellence, international prominence, and workstyle.
