The Tenant Development Manager is responsible for oversight and coordination of concessionaires' design and construction activities at O'Hare International Airport (ORD) and Midway International Airport (MDW). Duties include oversight of concessionaires' design and construction teams, review of tenant improvement designs, and coordination of construction with client, project managers, construction managers and airlines. This position reports directly to the Managing Director.


Review leases to coordinate design and construction requirements for tenant spaces.
Meet with stakeholders including client's divisions and consultants, concessionaires, and concessionaires' designers to coordinate design schedules and requirements. Walk the site with tenants to introduce current activities and explore tenant design improvements / enhancements / timelines.
Prepare, issue and, maintain schedules and status reports of design and construction processes.
Send out weekly Tenant Coordination Meeting updates as well as highlights of current or forecasted construction activity.
Prepare end of year annual report include before and after sales metrics / financials after construction (renovation, refurbishment, remodel or new concept) along with photos.
Document construction progress from beginning to end of construction.
Follow up with concessionaires, and concessionaires' designers and contractors to ensure timely performance of concessionaires' design and construction activities.
Schedule and coordinate project and design concept presentations to client and other stakeholders.
Review all submittals and coordinate design and other construction-related approvals with client and other stakeholders.
Assist with concessionaire construction permitting process.
Schedule and coordinate meetings with concessionaires, client and other stakeholders to resolve base building issues relative to concessionaires' designs and construction.
Represent concessions and coordinate with client and other stakeholders regarding airport construction projects.
Attend meetings and presentations and answer questions based on project development or solutions to potential issues which may arise due to scope, surrounding environment, building related issues, etc.
Supervise and delegate tasks as appropriate to Project Architect and Tenant Coordinators.
Revise and update Design Criteria Manuals and Standard Operating Procedures, in conjunction with CDA Design and Construction.
Develop understanding and require utilization of Program Management Software for Tenant Coordinators linked to Unison's RMS system / compliance component.
Perform other design and construction tasks as directed.
The successful candidate will be a professional with demonstrated experience in a similar role with a strong preference for candidates with previous architectural and/or construction management construction.
Experience and Training: A Bachelor's of Architecture (B.Arch) or a Bachelor's Degree in Building Science, Construction Engineering, Construction Management or Civil Engineering. Proficiency in MS Office, Project Management, and CAD Software.


$115,000.00 to $125,000.00 per year
