The architectural firm of Muller2 was founded in 1984 by Jay and Cindy Muller and today Muller2 has grown to nearly 30 employees, including 11 licensed architects. Major market sectors include:  Aviation, Transit, Passenger Rail, Recreation, Education, and General Municipal. This is a full-time position for an experienced Technical Architect.  The successful candidate will be working on variety of exciting high-profile public projects throughout greater Chicago Area and possibly the Dallas/Fort Worth Area (based in our Chicago Office).  These rewarding projects require someone who is technically driven, comfortable working under tight production schedules, has high-level of attention to quality, and has design sensitivity. 

We believe in a culture of empowerment, which requires the that the ideal candidate be highly motivated who is able to work independently and also mentor less experienced staff.  The ideal candidate will have extensive construction document coordination experience and will have sound and diverse knowledge of architectural principles and practices in broad array of assignments and related fields, acting independently regarding architectural methods and complexities.


  • Licensed Architect 
  • Minimum ten-year experience
  • Advanced-level of detailing capabilities and an ability to independently produce details in Revit
  • Ability to prepare and/or supervises code analysis
  • Ability to direct and supervise the production of specifications
  • Excellent communication skills and experience with communicating with clients, sub consultants and staff
