ABOUT THE JOB

SNHA is looking for various levels of sustainable design expertise to grow its sustainability team. Working with the Director of Sustainability, SNHA’s architects, and external consultants, you will contribute to support our mission-critical clients, establish and meet their operational and embodied carbon reductions targets.
At SNHA, we work with our clients on general environmental and sustainability issues including the different approaches currently developed in response to them: energy sources and availability, dependency on fossil fuels or transition to renewables, materials, land resource, depletion, climate, and technological breakthroughs.

REQUIREMENT FOR APPLICANTS

JUNIOR LEVEL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Knowledge of LCA methodologies and tools
• Knowledge of building design and construction processes
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
• Knowledge of energy optimization strategies and passive design solutions
• Ability to communicate well with project team members and other colleagues
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCad, BIM 360, BlueBeam, Microsoft Office Suite

INTERMEDIATE TO SENIOR LEVEL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Lifecycle Analysis / Carbon Accounting (Oneclick LCA, Tally, or EC3)
• Conceptual Energy Modeling (Covetool)
• Strong knowledge of architectural building systems
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Knowledge of building codes
• Knowledge of sustainable and healthy building services
• Detail oriented with exceptional organizational and management skills
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCad, BlueBeam, Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Experience:
• Building Energy Optimization / Conceptual Energy Modeling and Daylight Simulation
(Covetool or IES VE - non-engineering)
• Ability to test and develop analytical tools and workflows
• Knowledge of third-party certification processes (LEED or similar)
• BIM applications for building performance (Autodesk Revit Insight, Rhino, Grasshopper)
• Building Enclosure Design with ability to interpret and apply results from software such as
WUFI or THERM.

Education Requirements:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related fields.
Preferred:
Master's Degree in Architecture or Engineering, LEED AP BD+C or equivalent accreditation, Licensed Professional
