Our firm’s culture is to include architectural associates throughout all phases of a project, including assistance with preliminary feasibility studies and schematic design work. Architectural Associates will work under the collaborative direction of Project Architect, Project Manager, and Senior Designer to assist in the development of design concepts that respond to our client’s objectives.

ABOUT THE JOB

You will be an Architectural Lead at Silhouette Design Architecture, Inc. and specializes in non-traditional venues and partner with nationally and internationally renowned food and retail brand operators to create exceptional & operationally successful designs. And create cohesive branded environments, where each project is a collaborative effort. You will work closely with our clients to realize a project’s full potential through creative design, effective communication, and positive working relationships.
Primary Expectations:
• BIM modelling / architectural detailing / Architectural Design
• Maintain office standards for Architectural Drawings
• Maintain and contribute to new graphic standards for client presentations and proposals
• Work closely with Project Managers and Architect
• Participate and contribute to design discussion and idea generation with preparation of sketches, drawings, and 3D software models
• Collaborate with designers, vendors, contractors, and clients to identify and follow through on project objectives
• Assist with material board preparation
• Architectural renderings & RFP presentations
• Consultant drawing coordination
• Product research
• File management and documentation
• Streamline the architectural design process from conceptual design through overall completion of projects
• Attend client meetings

REQUIREMENT FOR APPLICANTS

Required Skills:
• Strong organizational with the ability design multiple and complex projects
• Positive, professional demeanor with a strong desire to learn
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in architecture
• Legal status to work in United States
• B. Arch or M. Arch from an accredited school of Architecture
• Revit experience and proficiency is REQUIRED for this role
• Proficiency MS Office (Word & Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
• Must have excellent verbal and written skills, including comfort when presenting to internal and external audiences
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage concurrent projects in various stages of development
• Willingness to work full-time Monday through Friday approximately 9am – 5pm from West Loop Chicago office location
• Remote and hybrid work options are available to qualified candidates
