Position Responsibilities:

Function as a technical resource for material and product evaluations and selections for the architectural studios
Function as an active member of office’s technical group
Develop a proficiency in construction products, techniques and sequences by staying abreast of product developments, new materials, code changes, and current industry trends
Develop an awareness of the products on the market, assist in maintaining the office specification sections
Assist in preparing specification sections, this will be performed as a learning process to assist in writing specifications for various projects
Attend internal coordination meetings with project teams to become familiar with the project development and assist in material/product selection
Assist in coordination of other consultant’s specifications for inclusion in the Project Manual
Assist in preparation and coordination of specification revisions during bidding and construction

Minimum qualifications:

Minimum 7 years of experience in architectural design
Participated as architectural project team member
Ability to communicate with and understand the needs of project teams
Experience with Microsoft Word
Bachelor or Masters of Architecture preferred
Licensed Architect preferred
Member of Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) preferred
