ABOUT THE JOBWe are seeking a talented, passionate individual to join our growing practice. The candidate should have excellent communication, design, technical, and leadership skills as well as experience in multi-family residential and other commercial projects. Responsibilities will include project management and preparation of documents from design through construction including programming, code/zoning, design research, bidding, permitting, and construction document coordination. In addition, this position will provide an opportunity to work closely alongside the firm’s leadership in leading project management and firm-wide initiatives within the studio. Canopy is rooted in a collective design process, thus the ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated yet eager to work collaboratively and provide leadership in a small practice environment.
REQUIREMENT FOR APPLICANTSThe position requires skill, knowledge, and leadership in all phases of design, documentation, and construction including; zoning and code studies, schematic design, design development, permitting, construction documents and construction observation (6-10 years of experience). Good knowledge of sustainability, engineering systems, and accessibility codes is required. A professional degree is preferred. LEED AP and/or NCARB-AXP registration is preferred but not required.
