Engberg Anderson is a community-driven family of architects, designers, interior designers, interns, travelers, artists, comedians, and happy-hour goers! Our focus is on design projects that serve a greater purpose and improve the urban fabric. Areas of project focus include multi-family, student and senior housing, corporate, cultural and public projects including libraries, aviation and public markets, and historic preservation. To support our goals, we seek highly motivated project architects with 8+ years of experience who are looking to grow professionally in a dynamic and supportive environment. This position is for our Chicago office but well qualified individuals will be considered for similar positions in our Madison and Milwaukee offices.

ABOUT THE JOB

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ability to lead and guide the production of construction documents
• Plan, research, evaluate draw and coordinate building enclosure systems
• Apply knowledge of codes and zoning regulations
• Perform QA/QC tasks
• Coordinate consultants, schedule, construction administration, etc.
• Lead and mentor staff and internal project team
• Communicate effectively with clients, jurisdictions, and construction teams
• Provide construction administration services

REQUIREMENT FOR APPLICANTS

Education and Registration
• Master’s Degree in Architecture
• Applicants must be registered in the State of Illinois.
• Registration in additional jurisdictions and NCARB Certificates are beneficial.

Essential Experience
• Extensive experience in principle responsibilities listed above.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit software.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Writing, editing, and proof-reading skills are required.
• Ability to define and translate design concepts into construction documents.
• In-depth knowledge of public sector projects and institutional grade construction is required.
• Familiarity with multi-family housing projects and wood-framed construction is required.

Beneficial Experience
• Lumion and Enscape experience are a plus
• Experience in a multi-office environment is a plus
• Experience working in a midsized, flexible and employee-empowering work environment is a plus
