Production + Project Manger (Architect)

Kuklinski+Rappe Architects is a small, award-winning practice focused on providing custom, full-service design to residential & small commercial clients. We are in search of a colleague to lead production and project management. The right candidate revels in the details and documentation of a project, is passionate about building science, and can elevate our projects and process with their technical expertise. The primary role of this person will be to champion the production of construction and presentation documents. Responsibilities will include:  

+ technical/building science input during all phases of the project to inform the design process, including development of the exterior envelope and working with consultants to develop structural & mechanical systems.
+ production of project documentation, including existing condition drawings, preliminary design presentations, and full construction documents
+ preparation of graphics and renderings for marketing and client presentations
+ project management during design development and construction, including client and contractor correspondence
+ Management of relationships with product manufacturer’s reps and contractors
+ Manage ongoing research and continuing education to keep office at the forefront of building science, new materials, project delivery systems, etc.


+ Innate understanding of the essential role of technical detailing in producing exemplary design 
+ NAAB accredited professional degree
+ License preferred but significant progress on ARE exams will be considered for the right candidate
+ At least 5 years experience (post-graduation) in custom residential or small-commercial design 
+ High proficiency in AutoCAD
+ Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office; Rhino and V-Ray a bonus. 
+ Exceptional interpersonal skills, empathy, sense of humor and collegiality
+ Possesses a strong intuition regarding needs of clients unfamiliar with architectural services and construction
+ Excellent organizational skills and ability to work within established office conventions and standards
