Myefski Architects headquarters are conveniently located in the Wrigley Building, overlooking the Chicago River on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago, Illinois. A branch office is located in the Lake Superior shoreline city of Marquette, Michigan. Positions are open in both our Chicago and Marquette offices.

A Job Captain + BIM Manager responsibility requires a specialized understanding of design technology used prepare architectural solutions within the Revit environment. Persons in this position manage the firm’s digital design workflows and protocols; lead Revit-focused trainings; and head up project-based BIM strategies. It requires an individual who is able to be a strong asset to a project team, takes on significant portions of project responsibility, and contributes to the management of others on the team. Tasks include but are not limited to:

Thorough knowledge of and passion for modeling standards and best practices
Wide-ranging understanding of model setup and management protocol
Familiarity and experience with the development and roll-out of project-based BIM Execution Plans
Proficiency with BIM 360 Model Coordination, including heading up BIM kick-off/milestone meetings
Works from design of others
Performs routine architectural assignments
Develops design and/or technical solutions under supervision
Assists in schematic design and design development phases
Prepares/Produces sketches, plans, elevations, renderings and models
Researches products and materials
Researches zoning accessibility and building code
Assists in preparing construction documents under direction of others
Carries out assignments requiring development of new/improved techniques/procedures
Coordinates with and attends meetings with consultants and contractors


Minimum of five (5) years of architectural experience
Bachelor of Architecture
Assisted in one (1) full project from Schematic Design through completion
LEED AP, LEED BD+C preferred
Working experience in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp
Knowledge of architectural vocabulary and concepts
Knowledge of code and zoning
Knowledge of architectural detailing
Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools
