ABOUT THE JOB

SUMMARY:
Actively participates in design, drawing production and site visits under the direction of the Project Manager or Project Lead. This role integrates project information and prepares coordinated documents with input from the PM and can act as Project Leader for small or routine projects. 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
* Manage, review and contribute to the production of design, modeling, permit and construction documents including revisions 
* Coordinate details, dimensions, drawings presentations and specifications that are consistent with the direction provided by the Project Lead
* Communicate with Clients and Contractors and attend meetings and Field Survey assignments as assigned by the Project Lead
* Work closely with project team members to obtain project information and see that drawings are accurate and complete 

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Administration
* Awareness and adherence to project processes, deadlines, milestones and profitability goals through use of A/E software and other means as established by Studio ARQ
* Conduct research for materials, systems, code analysis, and regulations and assist in construction administration as required
* Communicate methods to improve project process to the team leadership and report any issues or discrepancies that may affect project quality, schedule or profitability
General Administrative Responsibilities.
* Proactively seek professional development opportunities including IDP, “Lunch and Learn” sessions, code and standards training
* Self-assess and inform team of availability/capacity, demonstrate organizational skills and self-motivation
Marketing and Business Development Responsibilities
* Participate in professional and community endeavors including seeking and acting upon client referrals to Studio ARQ 
* Update company resume on an annual basis and assist in preparation of RFP’s and RFQ’s as requested

SECONDARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
* Mentor less experienced staff and provide guidance, training and direction
* Develop and maintain knowledge of Studio ARQ’s projects and resources

Time Allotment
* 85% project related
* 5% business development
* 10% administrative

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
The Project Coordinator reports directly to the Managing Director. The FSLA Status of this position is Exempt.

REQUIREMENT FOR APPLICANTS

SOFTWARE AND SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:
* Proficiency in Revit required
* Experience with RHINO and 3dMax preferred 
* Experience with ADOBE Suite – including Photoshop, Acrobat, and InDesign
* Knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility requirements preferred
* 2 – 5 years of project experience in an architectural practice

Physical Demands
This position will require local travel to all project and client locations, seminar locations, conferences, etc. Occasional out of state travel may be required
