Weser Tower

Bremen, N/A / Germany

Situated in immediate proximity to the historic city center of Bremen and located at the perimeter of the "Überseequartier", Weser Tower stands as an icon for the positive, future-oriented development of the city. The facade is designed to reduce the cooling load while maximizing the use of daylight. The pre-fabricated curtain wall creates a continuous glass exterior, emphasizing the core concept of a transparent building. Integrated within the set back is a decentralized air supply for the building. Fresh air is brought into the room through either an operable hatch or a heating and cooling convector within the floor. The façade skirt protects the air intake against wind and rain, allowing fresh air supply even in bad weather conditions. Natural ventilation is provided through the hatch in the façade set back.
