Chicago Center

Chicago, Illinois / United States of America

The Project is a mixed-use residential tower of 42 stories with 325 luxury rental units located in downtown Chicago, IL.

The architect designed the building as a 21st century urban solution to luxurious, high-rise residential design. The tower has an impressive elegant quality derived from its simplicity, in contrast to the complex facades surrounding it. The exterior building aesthetics evolve from an expression of the functional spaces within – transparent glass at the street level, black translucent glass at the parking level and energy efficient silver metallic glass on the residential floors. Recessed outdoor space at the recreational floor 10 and residence club floor 32 create deep shadows that are important keys to making it all work visually.

The interior spaces continue the attitude of bold simplicity. The lobby space greets you with tall, bright red painted steel panels, innovatively fabricated using laser-cutting technology.  Solid wall planes of color are also discovered at unexpected moments throughout the common areas, adding to the up-beat interiors dominated by open views and light-filled spaces.

Additionally, residents can enjoy the Sky Garden Terrace with fantastic panoramic views. The best seat on the roof is from the custom-designed, circular fire pit viewing benches.
