Waud Capital Partners

Interior Architecture Award Submission

Waud Capital Partners sought to create a new headquarters that is a showcase to prospective clients and fosters a business environment that is collaborative, clear, and focused on the business at hand.

For Waud Capital's new headquarters, the design team delivered a refined and timeless environment with bold architectural gestures, minimalist detailing, subtly contrasting finishes, and sophisticated furnishings.

Waud sought a space that could serve the functions of business and entertaining, and create a “wow factor” within a modest lease space. Our firm responded by placing the boardroom and lounge spaces at either side of the reception area. Large glass sliding doors close off a “public space” that is flexible and gracious. The doors can be opened, creating a vast area for entertaining, and revealing spectacular views of the city and Lake Michigan.

Large sliding doors of clear tinted glass at perimeter private offices offer views and bring natural light into the interior open offices areas. The size of the office opening promotes collaboration between private office and workstation occupants.

The result of the design team’s efforts is a state-of-the-art facility that fully supports the firm’s functional requirements and reinforces the firm’s brand and culture.
