Overview

The technologically driven design of this almost 60,000-square-foot, two-story project will give the client, a public college, a competitive edge. That the project integrated a green under-floor air distribution system and storm water retention areas seems especially appropriate since the project houses the Art, Science and Technology Pavilion at Oakton Community College's Ray Hartstein Campus. Natural daylight floods the classrooms and laboratories, keeping energy costs low and creating a pleasant environment for students and teachers. The metal-paneled, glass and masonry façade on this campus's new addition plays nicely with the original structure.
