Overview
Passersby taken with the building's sophisticated and minimal shape are sometimes stunned to learn such an arresting new form in an upscale neighborhood houses formerly homeless and displaced Cabrini-Green residents. The other surprise in this ultra-sleek building is its environmental forwardness, including the horizontal wind turbines that animate the top of the building. "This project seems to be trying to push sustainability to a new level," one juror said.
