Board members comment on their involvement in AIA Chicago
Jackie Koo, AIA
Vice President, AIA Chicago
Principal, Koo and Associates LTD
I became a board member because I wanted to support an organization that has supported the growth of my firm. While working at a large corporate firm, I wasn't aware of all the benefits that being a member of the AIA could provide; but, when I started my own practice these became clear. Of course, I take advantage of the contract documents and continuing education, but I especially appreciate the support and camaraderie of our chapter and its staff. By participating I am part of a larger architectural community, with the learning opportunities, colleagues and exposure to resources that my boutique practice needs.
